Love & Friendship by Whit Stillman
An adaptation of a lesser-known Austen novel, it follows the widowed Lady Susan Vernon decides to visit the home of her sister-in-law and attempts to become a matchmaker both for her daughter and herself.

Autumn Reads at EBPL

As the leaves change with the season, so do our reading habits.  We find ourselves craving literature that matches the mood and atmosphere of the time of year.  Autumn takes on a more somber feel, one marked by wistfulness that conjures images of leaf-laden ponds and bare trees.  Below are some reading materials that evoke these emotions and puts us right into the fall setting, all of which are available through the East Brunswick Public Library catalog: 

National Novel Writing Month: Stunning Success Stories

Despite attracting just 21 participants in its first run, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) has surged in popularity in recent years to become a worldwide event with over 200,000 participants.  Every November, free-form prose and involvement in the program’s active online community are strongly encouraged to help novice writers reach the 50,000 word mark, which is the minimum length of a novel.  The goal is not to have a finished product at the end of the month, but rather to see this challenging endeavor through to its end.  East Brunswick Public Library is here to help wi
