The East Brunswick Astronomy Club presents, "An Introduction to Amateur Astronomy" with Denis Cheng.

Join us for a presentation by Denis Cheng on some basic facts on, "what everyone should know," about astronomy. This will include a short history of the development of amateur astronomy, while focusing on some famous and not-so-famous amateur astronomers, who helped to make it one of the most popular hobbies in the world.

The East Brunswick Astronomy Club (EBAC) was founded with the mission of encouraging and promoting an interest in astronomy and space science throughout East Brunswick and beyond. EBAC meets once a month at the East Brunswick Public Library and meetings typically include a short lecture, open discussion, and telescope observing.

The Monster

The Monster by Virginia Lee (a Short Story Contest entry) 

Dylan shook under his covers. There was a monster under his bed, he was sure of it this time - he could hear its claws skittering across his floorboards. He had to check, to be brave like his father was always telling him to be. He picked up his flashlight, threw off his blanket, shone the light under his bed, and let out a shriek as his cat scampered out of the room.
