Kids in 3rd grade and up can create a beautiful bracelet using safety pins, beads, and elastic.  

Preschoolers ages 2 years and up, with their grown-up, can experiment with crayon rubbings using our plates with textures and images.

Make an eight-limbed companion using yarn and lots of perseverance!  If you don't know how to braid, you will by the time you're done creating your octopus.  For kids entering 3rd grade and up.

Preschoolers ages 3 years and up, with an adult, can practice using scissors and make a simple rainbow craft.

Do you own books that you're not planning to re-read?  Everything old is new again at the library's Book Swap!  Bring up to 10 of your used books to swap with other readers.  You'll be issued one "book buck" for every book you bring, plus one extra just for attending, and you can use your book bucks to "pay" for the books you decide to make yours.  

Don't have any books to swap?  You're still welcome to attend and select one book to keep.

Books must be in good condition and must be written for children, tweens, or teens.  Textbooks are not accepted.

Kids in 3rd grade and up can upcycle a favorite old tee into a tote bag.  Please make sure to bring a clean tee-shirt with you to use for this project.

Children ages 2 and up with an adult can make a fun dot painting using Q-tips. Don't wear your finest clothing!

Join us for an open playtime for children from 0-35 months accompanied by an adult. Toys are selected with age and safety guidelines in mind and are suitable for young children. Clean-up song at 10:45!
