Announcing the East Brunswick Astronomy Club!

We are excited to announce the East Brunswick Astronomy Club (EBAC)!

It was founded with the mission of encouraging and promoting an interest in astronomy and space science throughout East Brunswick and beyond.

EBAC meets once a month (on the third Thursday each month in 2024) at the East Brunswick Public Library and meetings typically include a short lecture, open discussion, and telescope observing.

This group is open to adults, teens, and families with children ages 12 and younger.

If you have a telescope, feel bring to bring it with you!

The Love Match

Zahra Khan is basically Bangladeshi royalty, but being a princess doesn’t pay the bills in Paterson, New Jersey. While Zahra’s plans for financial security this summer involve working long hours at Chai Ho and saving up for college writing courses, Amma is convinced that all Zahra needs is a “good match,” Jane Austen-style.

Girls Who Code Club for 3-5th gr.

Girls Who Code club for 3rd to 5th grade girls will be held with 7 Zoom meetings on Wednesdays @ 4:30 - 5:30p.m. from 1/24 to 3/6.

Scratch is block-based which is easy to learn and the projects are fun to spark the interest of coding. Kids will pick up the computer science concept through the projects.

Parents are encouraged to learn along with the kids.

Learn to Knit (Gr. 8-12): Week 4

Join this four-week workshop series to learn the basics of how to knit! Attendees will learn how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches, and how to cast off. As a group, we will make a patchwork scarf to practice multiple stitch patterns that can be used to make many other projects! All skill levels are welcome, but this is primarily geared for beginners. All supplies will be provided and can be taken home in between workshops to practice your skills at your own pace!
