East Brunswick Public Library teams up with Project Rise (a Dawoodi Bohra Initiative) and New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley S. Stanley for an upcycling workshop at the library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) on Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 pm.
Upcycling is a simple yet powerful concept that can bring about positive change for the environment. It is the process of transforming old or discarded items into new and useful things, rather than throwing them away. In 2023, the state of New Jersey passed a resolution that names April 16 as the state's official "Upcycling Day."
Kids ages 3+ and their caregivers are welcome to stop by for a Sunday Storytime followed by a Stuffed Animal Sleepover! Little ones should bring a stuffed animal to leave at the library overnight. Pick them up starting on Monday and check out the padlet to see pictures of what your stuffed friends got up to during their sleepover!
