Summer Reading


Summer Reading is back at East Brunswick Public Library! This year's theme is "Unearth a Story," and we have special challenges for all ages. By completing reading and learning challenges, you can win fun prizes. Sign up for Summer Reading today! 

 

KIDS

Summer Reading returns for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.  Kids, you can earn 1 point for each day you read or each summer learning "mission" you complete; then you can exchange 10 points for a prize!  Earn up to four prizes this summer. Every 10 points also earns you a raffle ticket for a grand prize! Summer Reading runs from June 26th through August 21st.

For pre-readers, we continue to offer our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative, which runs year-round.

The following are recommended reading lists for grades K-7:

 

TEENS

Teen Summer Reading is open to students entering grades 7 through 12. Starting on June 26th, visit the library to get signed up with a paper log, or log into the ReadSquared app yourself to get started. Earn 1 point for every day you read or complete one of the challenges. Attend one of the awesome teen events this summer for an extra point! Every 10 points, win a prize and earn a raffle ticket for a grand prize. Log reading and events through August 21st.

ADULTS

Summer reading isn't just for kids!

Fill out our online form to enter to win one of our great prizes or pick up a paper copy inside the library. We will be accepting Adult Summer Reading submissions from June 22nd until August 21st. This form has a mix of reading goals and service and community-oriented objectives.
