Join staff from the RWJBarnabas Health SNAP Navigator Program at their outreach table at the library. A SNAP Navigator can help you apply and help you keep your benefits so you can get the food assistance you need.

SNAP Navigators will walk you through:

  • Eligibilty requirements
  • What documents you need to apply
  • The application process
  • How to keep your SNAP benefits

 

Get to Know New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S)

Meet with representatives from New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) and learn about services they provide to families with children in grades K through 12.  NJ4S is a prevention program that supports youth mental wellness and can connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community resources beneficial to social, emotional, and mental health and well-being, including clinical and non-clinical resources.

Suicide Prevention with NJ4S

Wednesday, September 16, 3:30-5:30 PM

September is Suicide Prevention Month, and NJ4S is bringing the conversation to the library's lobby.  Learn to recognize warning signs and gather resources to help you and your loved ones talk about suicide prevention.

NJ4S is a prevention program that supports youth mental wellness and can connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community resources beneficial to social, emotional, and mental health and well-being, including clinical and non-clinical resources. 

Free Wellness Screenings

Join nurses from Hackensack Meridian Health

Screenings will include:

  • Stroke Risk Assessment
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • BMI
  • Pulse

 

*Fasting is not required*

 

Registration is  recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
