Join medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for an exciting hands-on event about senses! Kids will rotate through fun activities that challenge their hearing, vision, movement, and hand skills to see how different people experience the world. Then we’ll talk about what they felt and how we can be more kind, helpful, and inclusive to everyone.
For families with kids in kindergarten and up.

Kids ages 2 and up, with their grown-up, are invited to make a quick, beautiful, not-too-messy project. This month we are experimenting with using rubbing plates! Clean up at 11:00!
Manga readers can come together in our new monthly Manga Book Club to talk about new and old favorite titles! For May, we'll be discussing The Summer Hikaru Died. The first volume is available at the library or to read online on Comics Plus. Don't forget to come with suggestions for future titles!
Snacks will be provided.
This program is for students grades 6+ and some of the reading material will not be suitable for younger students.

Move & Create is an engaging class where little ones ages 3-5 explore movement through fun games, music, and active play! Each session also includes a creative activity, such as art, storytelling, or building, that ties into the theme of the day to spark imagination while keeping kids moving.

In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, Soluna is visiting the library to help teens, young adults, and families learn more about this free wellbeing app funded by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families.
The East Brunswick Mental Health Task Force and the East Brunswick Public Library team up for East Brunswick Stress Less Day on Saturday, April 11, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm!
The event is primarily held outside, around the East Brunswick Municipal Pond (2 Jean Walling Civic Center), behind the East Brunswick Municipal Pond. Attendees can meet with mental health care experts and organizations, complete relaxing and stress-free arts and craft activities, and enjoy the outdoors.
There is also a sound yoga activity inside the library (from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm).
