Did your family wrap up 2025 with a lot of sugary sweets? Yeah... us too!
Join medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for a lighthearted workshop where kids will work together to test their food group knowledge! We'll even get a little messy with a fun sugar-pouring activity to take a closer look at what we're really putting in our bodies.
For families with kids in kindergarten and up.
In-person chess club meetings will be held from Jan 8 to Feb 26 on Thursdays 5:15-6pm in the Youth Programming room.
Please click this link to register.
Join the staff of NJ4S and create your personal vision board for 2026. A vision board is a poster or collage where you can visually represent your dreams and goals. Reflect on how you'd like to grow and the experiences you're looking for in 2026, and get it all down on an inspiring poster you can hang in your room!
For kids of all ages, with an adult. Teens are welcome to attend!
Limited space! Free tickets for this event are available at the children's desk the day of the event, beginning at 4:30PM.
Kids ages 2 and up, with their grown-up, are invited to make a quick, beautiful, not-too-messy project. This month we are making snowflake mosaics! Clean up at 11:00!
Cancelled due to inclement weather.
Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.
This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.
The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.
