Until Next Summer

Amelia’s summers in Cape Cod have always been about three spending as much time in the ocean as possible, hanging out with her best friend Kat, and crushing on Myles Ford, her and Kat’s forever dream boy. But this summer, Kat’s leaving their little beach town to get a head start on tennis training at her new boarding school. Kat’s always been the social one in their friendship, the one who made things happen, and Amelia’s just been along for the ride. Without Kat, Amelia’s…adrift.

Family Space Trivia Night

This is an in-person program only.

Join us for a fun night for the whole family as the East Brunswick Astronomy Club hosts space trivia and games. This seasonal youth-focused meeting will be a great way for kids of all ages to learn more about space and win prizes!

Dine To Donate: EB Chinese

The East Brunswick Friends of the Library team up with EB Chinese Restaurant (324 Rues Lane) for a Dine To Donate event on Wednesday, August 26, from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm!

By mentioning the Friends of the Library when you call in your order or dine in the restaurant, EB Chinese will donate 25% of the proceeds to the Friends of the Library! These funds are used to support programs, special events and some of the unique services that East Brunswick Public Library offers.

The East Brunswick Public Library has a book club for individuals with disabilities (late teens/adults) who want to make friends, explore their community, and enjoy reading—no matter their current reading ability.

We meet Mondays at 7:00PM. The next meeting is Monday, August 24th.

Get to Know New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S)

Meet with representatives from New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) and learn about services they provide to families with children in grades K through 12.  NJ4S is a prevention program that supports youth mental wellness and can connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community resources beneficial to social, emotional, and mental health and well-being, including clinical and non-clinical resources.

With the new school year in mind, resources and tips about organization will be featured at this event.

Suicide Prevention with NJ4S

September is Suicide Prevention Month, and NJ4S is bringing the conversation to the library's lobby.  Learn to recognize warning signs and gather resources to help you and your loved ones talk about suicide prevention.
