Learn the basics of crochet including how to hold the hook, yarn, and do a few different simple stitches. Yarn and hooks will be provided for the class, but will not be available to take home. Celebrate Banned Books Week with a teen read-in! Teens in grades 8 to 12 are invited to read together quietly in the programming room while listening to some lo-fi music and enjoying light refreshments.
Bring your own book or check out one from the library. Participants can also select a FREE book and bookmark to bring home with them at the end of the event.
Current TAG volunteers can earn 30 minutes of community service credit by attending this program and using the code word in an after-program survey.
The Young Writers Group is a monthly meeting space for aspiring authors of all genres - poetry, lyrics, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, and more!
Each session of the Young Writers Group will include a different group activity such as blackout poetry, "exquisite corpse," fantasy worldbuilding, literary guess who, mad libs, timed writing challenges, and more. Paper and pencils will be provided for group activities.
Together, participants will encourage and inspire each other, share tips and tricks, and hone their craft!
Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.
This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.
The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.

The East Brunswick Public Library has a book club for individuals with disabilities (late teens/adults) who want to make friends, explore their community, and enjoy reading—no matter their current reading ability.
We meet Mondays at 7:00PM. The next meeting is Monday, October 26th.
