World Wide Stitch in Public Day

Come bring your knitting or crochet project to the East Brunswick Public Library and work outside!

We are officially celebrating World Wide Knit in Public Day from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the courtyard area. There will be a raffle for a gift card to help you with future projects.

Please follow all social distancing guidelines provided at the welcome tent, and bring your own chair, blanket, and water!

This event is co-sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library and the EB Arts Commission's Lap Tapestry Project.

Sugar Gliders

Do you want a pet that can glide through the air? Meet the sugar glider! What exactly is a sugar glider? What do you need to know before you bring one home as a pet? Figure out if this is the right pet for you and your family, the costs involved, and how much time and space you'll need.

What Are Phobias?

"Phobia" is a word that's thrown around a lot in everyday conversation, but it's often used incorrectly. A phobia is a strong, irrational fear of an object or a situation, one that often causes great anxiety. This sensitive and informative volume is a useful guide for readers who may be grappling with a phobia or who know someone who is.

73 Words in the 732 Short Story Competition

The library is looking for your short stories -- honestly, your shortest stories -- for the annual 73 Words in the 732 Short Story Competition.

Your short story can be about anything; the only requirement is that it must be 73 words or fewer.  This competition is open to all ages so your entire family can submit entries.  A panel of library staff selects the best short stories, which are posted on the library's website for the whole community to enjoy.
