Camp NaNoWriMo [6th-8th grade]
Teen Librarian Jenna has dared you to join the official Camp NaNoWriMo July 2020 challenge! Throughout July, we are all working together on our separate writing projects! We meet once per week to check in on our progress, get encouragement and support, and do some writing exercises! Join us every week, or just pop in once or twice! It's all good.
This group is for those entering 6th through 8th grade in September. The 9th-12th graders meet on Tuesdays.

Teen Red Cross Club Meeting
At this month's meeting, the Teen Red Cross Club will be having an awards ceremony for members who earned a club award! Info about how to log your community service hours will also be covered. This meeting will take place on Zoom. Everyone is welcome! There will be a bonding activity near the end of the meeting. Please email ebplredcross@gmail.com to register.
Watch Your Language
A program for teens who are first-generation and/or speak another language at home. This is a place for kids with different backgrounds, countries of origin, and mother tongues to connect and learn. Come prepared to teach others one word or phrase from your language, as well as an English idiom that you think is weird or funny!
Intro to Tinkercad
Learn to use Tinkercad (a free web-based CAD software) to create 3D models of objects! In this workshop, you'll learn to navigate Tinkercad, learn skills and techniques to create models for basic objects like bookmarks, and create a finished product.
This workshop has very limited availability!
Please note : Participants must have a laptop or desktop computer with Internet access to use Tinkercad. A mouse helps as well.
Tik Tok Jr.
Since Tik Tok has become one of the most popular trends and kids can get easily bored at home, Teen Volunteer Tanishka has created this program to teach kids Tik Tok dances over Zoom! These dances are age-appropriate, fun, and will get your kids moving and grooving! Tanishka will also guide participants to collaborate with one another and encourage them to create their own dances.
Creative Writing for Teens
Do you like to write? Let's write together! This is a Creative Writing Program for Teens entering grades 6 and up. Join Teen Librarian Jenna for some writing tips, tricks, and exercises! All writers of all skill levels and any project types are welcome! This program will be held via Zoom. Register in advance to get the login info.

Read Woke Book Club
This July, we are starting a Read Woke Book Club for Teens entering Grades 8 and up. This is our first meeting where we discuss our first book selection!

Learn to Draw Manga, Jr.
Please note the time change! This meeting is now held at 1:00pm.
This program for kids in grades 2 through 5.
Your host is teen volunteer and artist Nyssa G. She will teach you how to draw manga characters! Please register in advance to get the information to login to Zoom!
Please come prepared with the following items:
- sketchbook paper
- mechanical pencil/ HB pencil
- good eraser
For future lessons, iPad with stylus would be preferred.
