Families are invited to make a spooky paper luminary to decorate for Halloween. All ages are welcome to participate with a grown-up.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Each participant will receive one battery-operated tea light, which contains a button battery. These tea lights MUST be used with adult supervision and kept out of the reach of young children.
Bookmark Bonanza is back with autumnal designs for all ages. Drop by between 4:00 and 5:00 to color a bookmark, laminate, and add a ribbon.
Preschoolers and their grown-ups can work together to make a cute paper ghost decoration. We will also have some take-and-make kits available at this time if you are not comfortable making the project at the library.
This project takes about 20 minutes to make. Please feel free to drop by the library to get started anytime between 10:30 and 11:30.

Work with a group to build a program a robot using the library's LEGO Mindstorms building kits. Most projects will take more than one sessio to build so we'll be meeting weekly until our projects are done! Gr 3+
We'll provide the ingredients (or most of them, at least) and you can follow along with a recipe and a video of Librarian Aaron and see if you can make this at home! This month: Mug Cakes! Ingredient supplies are limited and will be given out first come, first serve, but everyone is welcome to take a recipe. Gr 3+
Create a new notebook for the school year! This is a drop-in craft for children in grades kindergarten and up.
Drop in anytime between 1pm-4pm and your own perler bead crafts! This program is for families and school aged children.
Let our Teen Summer Volunteers who you how to make your own sock puppet. Ages Preschool and up.
Drop in to participate in this special community art project, in partnership with the Lost Souls Public Memorial Project. Decorate a rock with paint pens to convey a message of kindness and appreciation for our diverse community. Once the rocks are dry, our teen volunteers will add them to displays inside the library and eventually, they'll be added to the Human Relations Council's Diversity Rocks area outside, near the municipal pond, Grown-ups, please let children know in advance that their rocks will not be returned to them.
