About This Book
Ten-year-old Chinese American girl Magnolia Wu is stuck inside her parents' laundromat all summer in New York City, New York, and she's pinned every lost sock from the laundromat onto a bulletin board, in hopes that customers will return to retrieve them, but so far no one has coming looking. Fortunately, Magnolia makes a new friend in Vietnamese-American Iris Lam, who has just moved from California. When the two of them decide that they should track down the socks' rightful owners, the girls embark on a journey across the city that teaches them an important lesson about self confidence and being proud of their identities.
