Join us for a special interactive story time!
In this session, experts from the Raritan Valley YMCA will conduct an Otter Spotter Water Safety program, which includes a fun story time and interactive water safety skills session. The goal is to educate youngsters and their grown-ups on how to react in a water emergency and reduce any fears of learning to swim. We will also review the adult role in safety around the water, including at the beach, in swimming pools, and even the bathtub. Safety recommendations for home pool owners will also be provided.
Drowning is the single leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4 and the second leading cause of death for ages 5-14 -- and it is preventable. Take a proactive role in preventing drowning in your home and community!
Recommended for kids ages 3 years and up with an adult.
Otter Spotter is presented by the faculty of the Raritan Valley YMCA.
