The East Brunswick Astronomy Club presents, "A Brief History of 3D Printing on the ISS"
Desktop 3D printing is common, but can it work in space? Absolutely! In fact, the International Space Station became an orbital factory in November 2014. Join us as we explore the brief history of additive manufacturing on the ISS—from the first successful prints of plastic tools to groundbreaking work on metal parts and even living human tissue (bioprinting).
Isaac Osores is a NASA Solar System Ambassador, 3D printing enthusiast, and President of the East Brunswick Astronomy Club. He enjoys sharing the excitement of NASA's missions and discoveries with the community.
