Sewing Club

Adults 18 and older are invited to join our social sewing club! 

Those with at least basic sewing skills using a sewing machine are welcome to join and work on an in-progress sewing project alongside other sewing enthusiasts. (Sewing guidance will be provided as needed.)

The Library has Singer sewing machines, irons, and limited supplies and notions available for use.

The Hunger Games!

The first novel in the dystopian trilogy by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games follows Katniss Everdeen in her quest to survive a series of harrowing events that are broadcast for sport. Released nearly twenty years ago, the book's focus on violence as entertainment and the nature of opressive regimes still resonates with our readers today. The Adult Writer's Workshop is now full.

 

Whether you’re working on the Great American Novel or crafting a short story, poem, or non-fiction article, this workshop, which meets the first Wednesday of every month, offers adult writers an opportunity to discuss their work and submit sample pages for feedback from groups members and the facilitator. Group size is limited to 12. Participants must be 18 or over.

 

Daytime Crochet Club

Daytime Crochet Club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 1-2:30. Please bring your own crochet supplies and projects. All skill levels are welcome. Open to adults ages 18 and older. This is not an instructional class, and no registration is required.
