Learn the basics of crochet including how to hold the hook, yarn, and do a few different simple stitches. Yarn and hooks will be provided for the class, but will not be available to take home. Get ready for some spooky spending fun! Kids will team up to face an imaginary challenge: planning the ultimate month of Halloween activities while using pretend money, making smart budgeting choices, and handling a few surprise tricks and treats along the way. Financial literacy is a social determinant of health, and we’re getting kids off to a great start. This fun and educational game will be presented by the LIFT 4 KIDS team of medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Light refreshments will be served.

This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.
The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.
