Get ready for some spooky spending fun!  Kids will team up to face an imaginary challenge: planning the ultimate month of Halloween activities while using pretend money, making smart budgeting choices, and handling a few surprise tricks and treats along the way.  Financial literacy is a social determinant of health, and we’re getting kids off to a great start. This fun and educational game will be presented by the LIFT 4 KIDS team of medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  Light refreshments will be served.  

Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.

This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.

The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.

Stop by the library to engage in crafts and activities to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival!

Also known as the Moon Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an annual holiday marking the fall harvest. The celebration usually involves lanterns and mooncakes; learn more at this library event.

Kids in kindergarten and up are invited to make some silly Halloween crafts with the library's awesome teen volunteers.  Choose from a bat mobile (no, not THE Batmobile!) or a creepy-cute magnet. Feel free to wear a Halloween costume!

The East Brunswick Friends of the Library are holding their annual clothing drive with Greater Green in the front of the East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) on Sunday, September 27 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
