Make a "Pal"entine!

Sunday, February 1 at 2:30PM

Who needs a Valentine when you've got a "Pal"entine?  Kids and tweens can stop by to create a cute "Pal"entine decoration.  Hang it up at home or give it as a gift to someone special!

For kids ages 3 and up.

LIFT 4 KIDS!: SUGAR RUSH!!!

Wednesday, January 28, 5:00-6:00 PM

Did your family wrap up 2025 with a lot of sugary sweets?  Yeah... us too!

Join medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for a lighthearted workshop where kids will work together to test their food group knowledge!  We'll even get a little messy with a fun sugar-pouring activity to take a closer look at what we're really putting in our bodies.  We'll finish up with a craft about good nutrition and tell you how to earn a small reward next time you come to the library!

Positivity Jars!

For a less Valentiney take on February, we're focusing on how we love ourselves!

Join us for a simple and meaningful self-care activity; fill up a tiny jar with a list of awesome qualities about yourself!  We'll be using scrapbooking paper and paper punches to make these projects extra-special.  Next time you're feeling a little down, you can re-read the memos in your jar as a reminder of how awesome you really are!  (And make sure to bring home a few blank notes so that you can continue to add to your jar!)
