Remind is the app we use to communicate volunteering shifts and announcements to registered volunteers. This is the only way we send out the sign-up sheets for volunteer hours, so you must be able to access Remind in order to volunteer at the library! Follow the instructions below to set up the app. Please note that example screenshots were taken on an iPhone, so your exact layout may differ slightly if you have a different type of phone.

1. Download the Remind app.
Make sure you sign up with your phone number! You can add email notifications later in your account settings, but phone notifications are required if you want to get first access to monthly signups.

2. Join an existing class.
Select "Add class" at the top left of the screen with the small + icon inside a circle. Choose "Join existing class" and enter the class code from your welcome email.

3. Wait for the monthly signups.
Make sure you have notifications turned on and wait for the next announcement to be sent out. You can view past announcements by selecting your TAG class in the app and choosing "See all class announcements" at the top, next to the megaphone icon.
The class code for Remind is always "ebpltag" plus the last two digits of your graduation year. So if you are part of the class of 2028, your Remind class code is "ebpltag28" in all lowercase letters. For your convenience, here is the list of all current class codes for the 2025-2026 school year:
-
Seniors (12th grade): @ebpltag26
-
Juniors (11th grade): @ebpltag27
-
Sophomores (10th grade): @ebpltag28
-
Freshmen (9th grade): @ebpltag29
-
8th graders: @ebpltag30
Please note that we are sharing the class codes here as a courtesy. Only teen volunteers with complete TAG applications who have been approved and sent the welcome email are eligible to sign up for hours. Students who sign up for volunteer shifts without a TAG application on file will have their signups deleted to make room for volunteers who have already completed their paperwork and followed the correct order of operations.
Parents, please make sure your students have their own access to Remind. While we understand that you may hold the family schedule, we strongly encourage students to select their own volunteer shifts so they can choose opportunities that match up with their personal interests when possible.
