East Brunswick Public Library teams up with Project Rise (a Dawoodi Bohra Initiative) and New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley S. Stanley for an upcycling workshop at the library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) on Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 pm.
Upcycling is a simple yet powerful concept that can bring about positive change for the environment. It is the process of transforming old or discarded items into new and useful things, rather than throwing them away. In 2023, the state of New Jersey passed a resolution that names April 16 as the state's official "Upcycling Day."
Kids in grades 2 and up can try their hand at needlepoint at this fun workshop. Space is limited! Please register by calling 732-390-6789 beginning March 1.
