Youth Entrepreneur Mini Workshop

YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR MINI WORKSHOP & MARKET REGISTRATION

East Brunswick Public Library and Future Founders Prep have come together to pilot a youth entrepreneurship program for kids aged 6-16yrs, with an introductory mini youth entrepreneurship workshop followed by a live youth entrepreneur market. Participants don’t just learn about business - they get a taste of how to create, brand, price, and sell their own products in a real LIVE marketplace and make profit!

Mini Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop Experience:

Youth Entrepreneurs Market

Join us for our first ever Youth Entrepreneurs Market on Saturday, August 8 from noon to 4:00 pm!!! Local kids/entrepreneurs will be showing off their businesses and selling off their goods during our first ever youth entrepreneur market. They will be throughout the building.

Sensory Friendly Browsing Hour

Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.

This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.

The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.

Boogie Woogie Babies

Tuesdays, August 11 & 25, 10:30-11:00

Ms. Tiffany is back twice in August for twice the fun (and twice the workout)!

Boogie Woogie Babies is a 30-minute dance class for baby and their big person!  Recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years.

Join us to show off your moves and have some fun.  Grown-ups, yes, this counts as your cardio for the day!

Open Art Studio (Gr. 4+)

Stop by the makerspace to check out the various art supplies available to use at the library. Practice with different mediums and relax with an opportunity to be purely creative! Due to the messy nature of some of the supplies, this program is for students going entering grades 4+.

Meet a Future Doctor!

Thinking about a career in medicine?  Join us for Day of Service, an exciting annual event when first-year medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School visit the library to share health and wellness information and meet library patrons.  This is a great opportunity for kids and teens who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine to stop by and talk with the med students about the educational paths they took to get to this point!  (Please note, medical students are happy to share their personal experiences and insights, but they are not college or career counselors

Make a Cute Magnet!

Kids ages 3 years and up, with an adult, are invited to stop by the children's section to create a cute, silly, health-themed magnet.  Pick a magnet that looks like an athletic animal or a snail with fruit for its shell!

This fun event coincides with the annual Day of Service, when first-year medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School visit the library to share health and wellness information and meet library patrons.

Make a Crystal Beaded Suncatcher!

Thursday, August 13, 10:00 AM

Back by patron request!  We had so much fun making these in May, and they came out so beautifully, that we're doing it again!!

Kids entering 1st grade and up are invited to drop in and make an elegant, sparkly suncatcher!  We'll be using beads, cord, jewelry findings, and our fine motor skills!

While supplies last!

For kids entering 1st grade and up.  Teens welcome!
