EB Social Circle

Join us for the EB Social Circle, a welcoming monthly program designed for adults (18+) with cognitive or developmental disabilities. Each month, participants come together to connect, engage in enjoyable activities, and build community in a supportive and inclusive environment.

This month we are playing Hitster, the ultimate music trivia party game.

Put your knowledge to the test as we play clips from over 300 popular songs spanning multiple decades. Bring your love of music and see how many hits you can recognize.

Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom (Documentary Screening)

Join us for a screening of the documentary Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom. The film is an exploration of Juneteenth from the viewpoint of those emancipated in Texas, in 1865.

The documentary follows the journey of a Black man troubled by the legacy of American slavery and the misuse of Christianity to justify it. He travels throughout Texas to discover how the Juneteenth holiday reveals the hope and courage that empowered the formerly enslaved and their descendants to fight for freedom in an often unjust society.

A Promised Land: Jewish Patriots, the American Revolution, and the Birth of Religious Freedom (Zoom)

Jews played a critical role both in winning the American Revolution—fighting for the patriot cause from Bunker Hill to Yorktown—and in defining the republic that was created from it. As the most visible non-Christian religion, Judaism was central to the debate over religious freedom in America at a critical juncture. Except for Philadelphia, the birthplace to the Declaration of Independence and a core of resistance, every city with a synagogue fell to the British during the war.
