Customize a tote bag for Halloween! Totes, stencils, and paint will be provided. Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. This event is for grades 4+.

Learn the basics of crochet including how to hold the hook, yarn, and do a few different simple stitches. Yarn and hooks will be provided for the class, but will not be available to take home. Participants may bring their own supplies inf they prefer. This event is for grades 6+. Registration is required. Click here to register.

Paint a ceramic goose in a pumpkin costume! Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. This program is for grades 4+.

Customize a wreath for autumn with fall (fake) plants and accessories! This program is for students in grades 4+.

Have you been staring at the autumn-themed "I Spy" board in the children's library for hours? Make your own miniature "I Spy" board using collage materials and then challenge your friends to find what pictures you've hidden! 

Due to small pieces, this program is recommended for families with children in grades kindergarten and up.

Get ready for some spooky spending fun!  Kids will team up to face an imaginary challenge: planning the ultimate month of Halloween activities while using pretend money, making smart budgeting choices, and handling a few surprise tricks and treats along the way.  This fun and educational game will be presented by the LIFT 4 KIDS team of medical students from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  Light refreshments will be served.

Celebrate Banned Books Week with a teen read-in! Teens in grades 8 to 12 are invited to read together quietly in the programming room while listening to some lo-fi music and enjoying light refreshments.

Bring your own book or check out one from the library. Participants can also select a FREE book and bookmark to bring home with them at the end of the event. 

Current TAG volunteers can earn 30 minutes of community service credit by attending this program and using the code word in an after-program survey.
