Young Writers Group (Gr. 8-12)

Facilitated by TAG volunteer Myer, the Younger Writers Group is a monthly meeting space for aspiring authors of all genres - poetry, lyrics, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, and more! Attendees are encouraged to bring their writing implements of choice (e.g., pen and paper, laptop, etc.) as well as whatever writing project they've been working on recently.

This group is for teens in grades 8 to 12; no registration is required to attend meetings.

Pokémon Club

Socialize with others during this "indoor recess"-style event in the YS programming room.

Bring your own Pokémon cards if you want to trade with others. Each session of Pokémon Club also features trivia games and other fun activities. 

This drop-in program is best suited for children in grades 3 and up, but all are welcome. No registration is required.

Meet with representatives from New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) and learn about services they provide to families with children in grades K through 12.

NJ4S is a prevention program that supports youth mental wellness and can connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community resources beneficial to social, emotional, and mental health and well-being, including clinical and non-clinical resources.

Family Craft: Dragon Boat Festival

Stop by the library to engage in crafts and activities to celebrate the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival!

Held annually, the Dragon Boat Festival is a holiday celebrated in remembrance of Qu Yuan, a Chinese poet. The holiday's main highlight is exciting boat races; a traditional food eaten during this time is sticky rice dumplings known as zongzi (粽子).
